De parochiekerk van Sint Anna staat in het historische centrum van Santana de Parnaíba met hoge bogen en gedetailleerde versiering in het hele ontwerp. Het interieur heeft zuilen, altaren en religieuze kunstwerken terwijl de voorgevel klassieke architectuurelementen met decoratieve details combineert.
Het gebouw werd in 1882 gesticht en vertegenwoordigt Braziliaanse kerkelijke architectuur van de late 1800. Het weerspiegelt verschillende architecturale invloeden die gebruikelijk waren in religieuze structuren die in die periode werden gebouwd.
