Araçariguama is een gemeente in de staat São Paulo, gelegen tamelijk dicht bij de staatshoofstad. Het combineert woongebieden met industriële zones en lokale diensten die de omliggende gemeenschappen bedienen.

De vestiging begon in het midden van de 17e eeuw als een kleine gemeenschap in de regio. Door de eeuwen heen werd het geleidelijk een belangrijke industriële zone met manufacturerings- en commerciële activiteiten.

De Igreja Matriz van Araçariguama vertegenwoordigt een belangrijk voorbeeld van Braziliaanse koloniale kerkarchitectuur in de regio.

De gemeente is verbonden met grote wegen en heeft toegang tot meerdere luchthavens in de regio. Bezoekers kunnen het gebied per auto of te voet verkennen, afhankelijk van welke gedeelten ze willen zien.

De industriële sector omvat bedrijven als Mondial, Gerdau en DHL, die bijdragen aan de regionale economische ontwikkeling van de gemeente.
