De klassieke houten kerk heeft een Latijns kruisvormige plattegrond met een portiek ondersteund door vier bakstenen zuilen.
De huidige houten kerk werd in 1825 gebouwd onder leiding van Celestino Saraka nadat de vorige constructie afbrandde.
Het hoofdaltaar herbergt een belangrijk beeld van de Maagd Maria, dat in 1988 door Paus Johannes Paulus II werd gekroond.

Jaarlijkse bloemenfestivals vinden plaats in de kerk, die een zware storm in 2010 heeft doorstaan.
