Tsjechov, Administratief centrum in de regio Moskou, Rusland.
Tsjechov bevindt zich op 170 meter boven zeeniveau en strekt zich uit langs de oevers van de rivier Lopasnia.
De nederzetting, voorheen Lopasnia genoemd, kreeg in 1954 de stadsstatus en werd vernoemd naar de Russische schrijver.
Het Davidov Klooster in de omgeving herbergt verschillende kerken uit de 17e en 18e eeuw, die Russisch-orthodoxe architectuur tonen.
De spoorlijn Moskou-Tula doorkruist de stad en verzorgt regelmatige verbindingen met omliggende gemeenten.
Het militaire commandocentrum Genshtab is verbonden met het Kremlin via een ondergrondse spoorweg genaamd Metro-2.
