Summer stage in Niš Fortress

The Summer Stage in Niš Fortress is an open-air performance venue with fixed seating built into the fortress walls, creating an outdoor theater space. The venue accommodates theatrical shows, film screenings, and musical events throughout the season.

The stage occupies space within a fortress built in the early 1700s that stands on foundations of Roman and Byzantine structures from much earlier periods. This layering of different historical periods reflects the long past of the site.
