Drayton House, Middeleeuws landhuis in Lowick, Engeland
De kalkstenen structuur rijst op met gekanteelde borstweringen, vierkante steunberen torens en een combinatie van stenen en schuiframen over meerdere verdiepingen.
De bouw van Drayton House begon in 1328 en ging door generaties adellijke families zoals de de Veres, Greens, Staffords en Mordaunts tot 1361.
Het landgoed vertegenwoordigt de evolutie van Engelse architectuurstijlen van middeleeuws tot barok, met wijzigingen door architecten William Talman en John Webb.
Bezoekers kunnen afspraken maken om de 80 hectare grond te verkennen, met Grade I geregistreerde tuinen en architectonische elementen uit zeven eeuwen.
Het landgoed handhaaft een ononderbroken erfopvolging sinds 1361, waarbij de familie Stopford Sackville hun verbinding bijna drie eeuwen bewaart.
