Het Building of Bath Collection is een museum dat de architectuurgeschiedenis en de groei van de stad door de eeuwen heen documenteert. De tentoonstellingen bevatten schaalmodellen, architectonische tekeningen en materialen die tonen hoe de structuren werden gebouwd.
Het museum opende in 1984 in een beschermd gebouw uit het Georgische tijdperk. Het werd opgericht om vast te leggen hoe Bath een grote stad werd door systematische bouwontwikkeling.
De collectie laat zien hoe lokale ambachtslieden en architecten samen werkten in het Georgische tijdperk met regionale materialen. Bezoekers ontdekken hoe deze gebouwen onderdeel werden van de identiteit van Bath.
Het museum is dinsdag tot en met vrijdag 's middags en in het weekend de hele dag geopend, met toegang voor rolstoelen. Het historische gebouw kan nauwe gangen en trappen hebben, dus plan uw bezoek.
De collectie bevat handgemaakte schaalmodellen zo gedetailleerd dat bezoekers kunnen zien hoe individuele bouwcomponenten in elkaar passen. Deze modellen onthullen het praktische werk van bouwers, niet alleen de afgewerkte structuren.
